The GHQ team is made up of dedicated and talented students who not only carry a load of classes at UF but also make sure GHQ keeps going! BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

Let us know before you show! – Make sure you check your email to schedule a move in appointment. As you finalize your move-in plans, consider reaching out to your roommate to coordinate arrival information and identify who will be helping you on this big day. Consider keeping your move-in team to a minimum to create a welcoming experience for all Gators!

Check-In and Unloading

Make sure you have your Photo ID when you arrive on campus. You’ll need your ID to collect your keys at check-in at your area office. UF encourages your support team to start unloading your things while you check in and provide directions on how to get to your room.  Carts will be available to check out or you are welcome to bring your own to help speed up the process.

Campus Parking

You must purchase a parking decal from transportation and parking services to park on campus weekdays between 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

The University of Florida campus is going to look a lot different in the Fall. Starting in August of 2021, UF will begin two picturesque projects from the Landscape Master Plan that will enhance UF’s outdoor spaces and create a more pedestrian-centered campus. In an effort to make campus more sustainable and safer, UF will begin its first steps in transforming the core of campus into an auto-free zone.

The Northeast Gateway at 2^nd Avenue will center as a major connection to the Innovation District of downtown Gainesville. The creation of the Northeast Court will help expand the expand the impact of campus, welcoming visitors, and orienting guests to the parking facilities.

The Newell Gateway proposes UF will start restricting the use of motorized vehicles with the campus core, uniting the Plaza of the Americas and the Reitz Union Lawn with a curb less, brick-paved walkway that will replace the current roadways on campus now. UF will also eliminate some scooter and vehicle parking within the new auto-free core of campus, to help offset the construction traffic.

• Tickets for the 2021 season are now available, and fans have different options to purchase them:

Season ticket holders who chose to rollover their 2020 tickets to the upcoming season will be contacted directly by the ticket office.

After a virtual event forced by COVID 19 last year, Dance Marathon at UF returns to the Stephen C. O’Connell Center with virtual engagement added April 10 at 8am to April 11 at 7:06pm. DM at UF is working with Dr. Cindy Prins and UF Screen, Test and Protect to make sure the event can safely occur following UF and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.

This is all subject to change, of course, but for now the plan is to make sure students are in “cleared” status, with a recommended two-week quarantine leading up to the Main Event. Temperatures will be checked at the door as well and there will be required physical distancing and masks. The arena will also be cleaned regularly during the event.

Miracles in Color 5K

Dance Marathon at UF announced that the Miracle in Color 5K will take place Saturday February 13th starting at 7:20AM at Flavet Field, with participants starting in eight different waves. The 5K course will run through UF campus with color stations throughout for participants to be covered in colorful powder paint. *All participants will receive a Miracles in Color 5K white t-shirt during registration. All proceeds will be donated to UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital, our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.

There is also going to be a virtual 5K option this year. Virtual participants will be provided a “Race Day Bundle” including a t-shirt and colored powder for a small fee of $15 (Free Gainesville pick up or $5 shipping). Individual tickets, as well as tickets for groups of two or four are available, so grab another family member or friend and run together! Virtual registration must be completed by Thursday, February 4th to guarantee shipping arrival before February 13.

Race Day Info

Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled run time to be able to sign in. You will be sent a Safety Clearance and Liability Waiver Form on Friday, February 12th. Please fill this form out ahead of race day and screenshot your results.

There is parking available at Flavet Field, but please arrive early to ensure you have time to find parking and check in before your scheduled race.
